City of Newcastle Draft Cultural Plan 2026-2036 – Have Your Say

The Cultural Plan is the ten-year roadmap for how the City of Newcastle will support, invest in and celebrate arts, culture, and creative industries across our city. It is the first dedicated Cultural Plan for Council, building on its Cultural Strategy 2016–2019.

It sets out the actions the City is proposing to support creative careers, protect and expand cultural spaces, strengthen creative precincts and ensure culture is accessible to everyone across Newcastle. 

The public exhibition is open until Monday, 30 March 2026. During this time, anyone can read the Cultural Plan, explore what's proposed and have their say via the dedicated page at:
