EDA Seeks National Roadshow Keynote Speaker for 2027

Economic Development Australia (EDA) is inviting expressions of interest from engaging and thought-provoking speakers to become the national keynote presenter for the 2027 EDA National Roadshow.

Now in its third year, the National Roadshow connects Australia's economic development community across six cities, bringing together practitioners to share ideas, explore emerging challenges and strengthen local and regional economies.

The successful keynote speaker will deliver a 45-minute presentation at each Roadshow event, followed by a Q&A and panel discussion with state-based speakers. It's a unique opportunity to help shape the national conversation around economic development while engaging with practitioners from across Australia.

Building on the 2026 National Economic Development Conference, the 2027 Roadshow will continue the Place to Prosperity conversation across Australia.

EDA is seeking keynote presentations that demonstrate the connection between place and prosperity, with practical insights into how economic development practitioners can leverage innovation, navigate economic and industry transition, and attract investment to strengthen local economies

Successful proposals should be grounded in real-world case studies, lessons learned and practical approaches that can be applied across local, regional and state economic development.

The Roadshow attracts a diverse audience of economic developers, urban planners, policymakers, place managers, economists, investment attraction specialists, regional development professionals and city leaders from local, state and federal government, as well as the private sector.

  • 5 May – Brisbane
  • 7 May – Sydney
  • 11 May – Launceston
  • 13 May – Melbourne
  • 18 May – Adelaide
  • 20 May – Perth
