Double Take Hospitality Program 2026

Double Take is your backstage pass to the parts of hospo you might've totally missed, the fun bits, the hands on bits, the "hang on... I kinda love this" bits. Over three weeks you'll jump between three of Newcastle's standout venues and try cooking, service & mixology.

Hunter Local Jobs are excited to bring Newcastle the 'Double Take' Hospitality Program in Feb 2026.

3 Venues. 3 Weeks. 1 Chance to Find Your Fit in Hospo.

WHEN: February 2026 - 3rd, 10th & 17th

This program is for anyone who is 18+ who wants to:

  • Explore Newcastle's hospo scene in a real + hands-on way
  • Try different types of work before choosing a path
  • Meet venues who value personality and potential - and have employment opportunities available
  • Get a foot in the door in a genuinely supportive way!

Costs:

For participants who are registered with a Workforce Australia Provider (including Transition to Work and Parent Pathways): $685.00 GST exclusive, per participant

For community members who are NOT receiving support through a Workforce Australia Provider: This is funded by the Hunter Local Jobs Program
